More blog candy

Every blog I've read this week seems to be people plagued by this blogger survey. I'm such a sucker for surveys and normally try to relegate them to myspace junk posts. However, I've been tagged by name by nitsirk and warriorwomen. Despite some misgivings about revealing personal information like "favorite movie" and "vacation spots" to potential stalkers and papa razzi, I can't resist a blatant request for me to talk about myself. So here it is. Feel free not to read it.

Job's I've Held:

Ice Cream Scooper
Pastry Peddler
Florist (after a few months they stopped letting me arrange flowers other than corsages)
Volunteer for a suicide hotline (oh if I only knew then what I know now)
Lifeguard
Mail stuffer for Mailboxes Etc.
Barista at a bus station hub (I know homeless people!)
On the street solicitor for an adopt-a-child charity (longest week of my life)
Casheer at a kitchenware store
Fitness instructor at a gym
"Reader" (i.e. Teaching Assistant without teaching duties, only class-attending and paper-reading duties) for an upper division class outside my major. (Made me power-hungry)
Overnight truck loader for UPS (where I was quite proud to hear I struck fear and respect into the hearts of my male coworkers)
Isolated translating jobs
Administrative assistant at a gay bed & breakfast (I was fired for being a ditz)
Teacher/tutor of English (much to my chagrin)

Movies I can Watch Over & Over:
V for Vendetta
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Silence of the Lambs
Finding Nemo
Titanic (and no, I'm not ashamed)
Spice World (and no, I'm DEFINITELY not ashamed)
City of Lost Children
Volver

Awards I've Won:
An embarrassing number of awards in my high school language department in Spanish, Italian, French and Latin... A Spanish one at the state level (and look at me now... I can only speak Spanish and Catalan with some degree of fluency)
Graduated Cum Laude in my major (Language Studies) which was beyond me because my GPA in my major was lower than my overall GPA which wasn't good enough for the Dean's List).
1st of almost no women in a bike race.
"3rd" (actually 4th) in my age group in the Nutmeg State Sprint
Best at archery several weeks running in the Geese group at the Meadow Breeze Day Camp

Nicknames I've Been Called:
Claire de Lune (hate that one)
Clarise (said in creapy Silence of the Lambs voice)

And now I get to tag someone. Only I won't, because if you have something better to say you should say it. But repost the next time any of you are having a slow week.

i've heard the job as an overnight box person at UPS is a little crazy. I think i'd fall asleep at 1am. Not much of a night person.

Oh...and in response to your comment, yes I am a science dork...but can sometimes 'pass' as normal :-)
