Ok, after very little deliberation or thought I have decided on races that I am going to do while I'm home.
August 5: (Picked out of a hat)
The Witch City Triathlon in Salem, MA. I plan on grabbing one of the traffic cones in t2 and running the whole 5k singing the Wicked Witch's theme from the Wizard of Oz with the cone on my head. I might even do it so slowly that I'll get to steal a broom from someone cleaning the course. Oh what a finishing photo that'll make! Anyone coming with me?
August 11:
The Nutmeg State Sprint Triathlon in Washington, CT. Just getting down to the start in western Connecticut before 7 am will be an event in and of itself, but it'll be worth it to meet such blogging supahstahs as Angry Runner and Bob Almighty.
I'm still hoping to meet up with other blogger buddies for bike rides, runs, or open water swims. If you're down for a NWsG-type adventure, hit me up. Also, since I'm kind of in love with NYC I may try to take the chinatown bus down for a few days and stay with friends in Brooklyn. I hope the Big Apple folks would be willing to show me the good places to run around the city.

Hopefully I will be able to attend on Aug. 11, or at the very least I will try to show up for the start. If you see me making a mad dash to transition after crossing the finish you will know that I have worked out a compromise with my boss.
I just signed up for the nutmeg state tri last night. I'm sure you'll have no problem making me look like a bitch since i barely train. I WILL be wearing a wetsuit, just so you know.
I am so jealous of your Witch City plans. I love witches.
